Terms of service

These terms cover the Plenipo website, downloads, and related support provided by 8 West Ventures, LLC ("8 West", "we", "us"). Plenipo is a desktop application that helps you organize AI tools and review their work. An AI "worker" is software, not a person you employ.

Please read these terms before using the website or Plenipo. If you use Plenipo for an organization, you must have authority to do so. If you do not agree, stop using the website and application. Rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive are not limited by these terms.

The software license

Plenipo's source code and distributed software are provided under the Elastic License 2.0. That license sets the permissions and restrictions for using, copying, changing, and distributing the software, including its restriction on providing a hosted or managed service. If these terms conflict with that license about software rights, the license controls. Third-party software may have its own licenses and notices.

Plenipo names, logos, and Pip artwork identify 8 West's product. The software license does not grant a separate right to use our trademarks. Do not imply that 8 West endorses your product, service, or modified copy. Contribution terms are described in the contributing guide.

Your accounts and connected services

You choose which AI tools, websites, servers, and other services to connect. You are responsible for having the required accounts, subscriptions, permissions, and rights to the information you send or access. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability, features, usage limits, and charges may change.

Plenipo is not affiliated with or endorsed by an AI provider merely because it can connect to that provider's tool. We do not supply those providers' subscriptions or guarantee access to a model. Do not use Plenipo to bypass a provider's terms, limits, sign-in requirements, or a website's access controls.

Permissions and your responsibility

You control the projects, role permissions, approvals, connections, and optional settings you allow. Review those choices before starting work. Some settings allow actions such as sending, buying, or signing in without asking each time.

Approved programs run under your computer account. A project's build or test scripts can act with the program's permissions, so run scripts only from projects you trust. Keep backups, protect your account and credentials, and review changes before you publish, deploy, send a message, or authorize a payment.

Use the product lawfully. Do not use it to steal information, infringe someone else's rights, distribute malicious software, gain unauthorized access, or submit information you have no right to share. You are responsible for your instructions and the actions you authorize, including actions carried out for your organization.

AI results need review

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsafe, or unsuitable for your goal. Permissions and approval checks help you control actions; they do not guarantee a correct answer or a harmless result. Check facts, code, tests, and proposed actions before relying on them.

Plenipo and AI output are not a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, security, or other professional advice. Do not rely on an AI worker as the sole basis for a decision that could seriously affect a person's rights, health, safety, or finances.

Privacy and information you share

The privacy statement explains local app data, data sent to your chosen services, website requests, and support information. Local storage does not mean that AI requests stay on your computer.

Do not put passwords, tokens, private project files, customer information, or other sensitive information in public GitHub issues or discussions. Review any screenshots, exports, or diagnostics before sharing them. You keep your rights in your own content; using Plenipo does not transfer ownership of your projects or prompts to 8 West.

Availability, updates, and planned paid editions

Features and support depend on the installed version. Read the release notes for known limits and changes. We may update the application, website, or supported integrations, and may discontinue support for older versions. Availability and support response times are not guaranteed.

The current release has no Plenipo license check or edition limits. Descriptions of future Free and Pro editions or proposed prices are plans, not a current purchase offer or a promise that those features will ship. AI provider subscriptions and other third-party charges are separate. Any future paid Plenipo offer will state its price, billing, cancellation, and other purchase terms before you agree to it.

Warranty and responsibility for loss

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and support are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors. The software's warranty and liability provisions are in the Elastic License 2.0.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, 8 West is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss from use of the website or support, such as lost profits or lost business opportunities. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits a consumer's mandatory rights.

Stopping use and changes to these terms

You may stop using the website or uninstall Plenipo at any time. Stopping use does not by itself delete local records, backups, exports, or information already sent to another service. The privacy statement explains those separate steps. Termination of the software license is governed by that license.

We will post updated terms with a new date on this page. Changes apply going forward, not retroactively. If a change requires separate notice or agreement under applicable law, we will provide it before treating the change as binding. Review the terms when you update or return to the service.
